We are native Islanders with a great respect and affection for the Island. We want to bring a little bit of Martha's Vineyard Craftsmanship to you.
My Husband Michael Hewitt makes our candles by hand with the finest ingredients available. A different blend of wax is used for each candle to optimize the burn and fragrance qualities. No lead wicks are used in our candles. Island treasures like sea glass and scallops shells are incorporated into our candles to make them uniquely Vineyard.
My Bath and Body line began with an accident. I tripped and splashed 300 degree wax on my face and neck. I had deep second and third degree burns. My skin was so sensitive I was unable to use commercial products. Commercial soap (even Dove Sensitive Skin) is made from tallow - animal fat! My skin had to be washed and moisturized, so I took the initiative to learn lotion and soap making for myself. The products worked so well - I decided to bring them to the public. I offer most of our products in more than ten tantalizing scents.
I continue to improve and expand my line with Handsewn Heirloom Leather Goods and Beautiful Beaded Jewelry made with pearls, semi-precious stones, silver and lots of Swarovski Crystals!
