How it all started!
Vineyard Candle began in our home on the Island of Martha's Vineyard in December of 2000. Both my husband and I are native Islanders with a great respect and affection for the Island. We make our candles by hand with the finest ingredients available. A different blend of wax is used for each candle to optimize the burn and fragrance qualities. No lead wicks are used in our candles. Island treasures like sea glass and scallops shells are incorporated into our candles to make them uniquely Vineyard.
Our Vineyard Bath and Body™ line began with an accident. I tripped and splashed 300 degree wax on my face and neck. I had deep second and third degree burns. My skin was so sensitive I was unable to use commercial products. My skin had to be washed and moisturized, so I took the initiative to learn lotion and soap making for myself. The products worked so well - I decided to bring them to the public. We offer most of our products in more than ten tantalizing scents. Our newest scent “West Tickleberry™” has been a tremendous hit. We continue to improve and expand our line with many other pampering treats!
